Seven electronics companies, including industry giants Philips and Samsung, have been fined by European regulators for operating cartels in television- and computer-monitor tubes. Philips and Samsung, along with LG Electronics, participated in both cartels, according to the Wall Street Journal, while Panasonic another industry leader participated in the cartel for television-monitor tubes. The seven companies have been fined €1.47 billion ($1.92 billion)."The Commission said the two cartels were among the 'most organized' it has investigated," the Journal wrote.
