Browser Support

We built Quartz with a focus on modern browsers, but are constantly working to improve the experience across devices. utilizes a number of web technologies, such as DOM, CSS3, SVG, Messaging, Ajax, localStorage, Offline mode, and HTML5 transitions. Unfortunately, not all browsers support these technologies as well as others, but we’re working to find solutions that help our readers access our content where they want to.

In some cases we’ve held off on some emerging browser features as a result differing performance across browsers.

We have a list of browsers we do support. In some instances, we’ve opted to pare back functionality so that you can still read Quartz content, even when the full site may not be optimized for your device.
