A Chongqing driver hoping to sell a “Lamborghini” he cobbled together using Hyundai Coupe body and a 2,000 yuan ($327) conversion kit had his hopes dashed this weekend after police towed the car before he could find a buyer.

The driver parked the Hyundorghini on a busy street in the southwest China city, attracting plenty of attention. He told a local paper he “just wanted to see how much he could get for it,” the state-run Global Times reported.

It seems there are plenty of instances when people have tried to turn cars into Lamborghinis in China, including this Nissan Cefiro and this Toyota, which costs about 420,000 yuan ($69,000) and is known as a “Shanzhai Lamborghini.
