This is what London’s Canary Wharf looks like from above today:

The Metropolitan Police’s Air Support Unit shared the photo on its brilliant, if also slightly ominous, Twitter account @MPSinthesky.

Here’s another shot, with the spikes of the O2 Arena barely visible:

The dense fog covering much of southeast England reduced visibility to 50 meters (164 feet) in places, delaying flights at Heathrow and London City airports. Here’s one last photo from the Met Office, showing signs of clearing in central London:
