Apple Watch looks a lot like a watch

Here it is.

Apple is still unveiling its new Apple Watch device, but perhaps the most surprising part so far is how it looks: Exactly like a watch. Because it is. A watch.

That’s not to say it’s disappointing—it actually looks pretty nice, and typically thoughtful.

But it’s interesting. Apple isn’t trying to popularize an entirely different-looking wrist-worn device—as, say, Nike tried with the Fuelband. Instead, Apple went with something that looks more like a classic wristwatch than we would have guessed, with a dial and everything.

Apple says the Watch will start at $349 and be available early in 2015. It requires an accompanying iPhone (iPhone 5 or higher).
