The visual patterns in this video are chemistry in action, but they’re not the work of scientists. They’re the project of Chemical Bouillon, a collective of three French artists who experiment with different liquids and upload the often-beautiful results to their YouTube channel.

Chemical Bouillon’s videos destroy the notion that science and art are mutually exclusive of one another. What the trio are creating with the project might be in the service of art, but you can bet that it’s also science.
