LET'S GET BACK TO LADY MACBETH

In under three minutes, this video shows 40 years of sexist questions posed to Hillary Clinton

By Annalisa Merelli

Being the first female US presidential candidate for a major party is the biggest crack Hillary Clinton has put in the glass ceiling. Yet during the course of her long public career, she has had to endure being criticized for her lack of “likability,” her hairstyles, and her choice of having a career.

At one point, she was compared to Lady Macbeth.

A montage published by Germania Rodriguez on YouTube collects just a few of the questions journalists asked her about her roles over the years. Despite the series of inane queries about her ambitions and her position as an intelligent, accomplished woman in modern society, Hillary never cracks.
