The observable universe has way more galaxies than we thought

In case the universe was feeling a little sparse, here’s some good news: Scientists now say there are at least 2 trillion galaxies in the observable universe, more than 10 times previous estimates.

For some perspective, 2 trillion is about the number of seconds since the first humans began migrating from Africa some 60,000 years ago.
