The world’s newest big ships are almost here. A.P. Moller-Maersk published a new, time-lapse video showing the construction of the first of its Triple-E container ships, which will be the largest in the world. The footage is taken from a six-part series documenting the ship’s construction and launch, which will air on Discovery Channel.
The video shows the construction of the yet-to-be-named vessel at the Daewoo Shipbuilding (DSME) shipyard in South Korea. The first ship will begin service on July 14 at Busan, South Korea, on a trip to the Polish port of Gdansk.
