Mario Monti says his biggest fear about the future of Europe is “non-economic”

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti just appeared on Bloomberg TV to talk about the state of the euro zone. He told Erik Schatzker that his biggest fear for the monetary union was “non-economic”:

That the political leaders of Europe do not devote enough attention to coping with the increasing resentments of one country with another, coping with the [tensions of]…nationalism.
