Beautiful timelapse videos show how light pollution keeps you from seeing the stars

A few months ago, amateur photographer Sriram Murali trekked across California and Utah hunting for night skies in dense cities and vast deserts. He filmed timelapse videos of the Orion constellation from eight different locations in order to show that more stars are visible when farther away from cities.
