Bill Gates is an avid tennis fan. On Saturday (April 29), the world can check out the entrepreneur and philanthropist’s game live when he plays alongside tennis champion Roger Federer in a match benefiting Federer’s charity for education in Africa.
“This is a dream come true,” Gates wrote on Facebook. The match in Seattle’s Key Arena will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
Gates and Federer will play doubles against US player John Isner and a still-undetermined celebrity partner. Then Federer and Isner will face off in a game of better tennis.
Gates is no stranger to the celebrity match. He partnered with Andre Agassi in a 2001 doubles match against Pete Sampras and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos (Gates and Agassi won in a tiebreaker), and often plays table tennis with Warren Buffett at the Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting. He and Richard Branson also meet up to play on Branson’s private Caribbean island, exactly as one imagines billionaires do in their downtime.
