  • Though a Democratic majority in the house would increase chances of impeachment proceedings, the issue is all but absent among Democrats as a campaign strategy. This is a great take on why. Also worth a read just for quotes from Sen. Richard Blumenthal and fmr House Speaker Newt Gingrich. Yikes. Seat belts everyone.

  • Impeachment requires high crimes and misdemeanors. If inflammatory Twitter posts and saying inappropriate things and having unsavory friends, how many of us would be able to be President and have to worry about impeachment? The precedent potentially being set is very dangerous.

I would rather we give the President a break and cut him some slack. Being in a constitutional republic has responsibilities and expectations. I find it fascinating that we have our legislative leaders thinking our President should be something different. I would rather have someone say what they really think and believe than what others think we want to hear or know.

  • Impeachment is a TERRIBLE idea. The only way to beat Trump is at the ballot.

Let’s not forget Nixon’s approval rating was in the 20s. Trump is still in the 40s. He’s not going anywhere until he gets voted out.

  • Does anyone truly win if a president is impeached?

  • There are a whole lot of pieces in play here. It is not as simple as many would like it to be.

  • Congressional candidate's job first & foremost is to represent the interests of their own district. I suspect the ones that do a good job identifying how they can do that will be most likely to win. any Dem would have to convince me that s/he would vote my interest over CA & NY to get my vote. a Rep

I suspect the ones that do a good job identifying how they can do that will be most likely to win. any Dem would have to convince me that s/he would vote my interest over CA & NY to get my vote. a Rep needs to tell me how s/he would rep me. as Tip said(I think), all politics are local. I think the national level has forgotten that.

    Trump actually ran on that.

  • “So, at this point, Democrats aren’t pouring fuel on a fire...”. As much as I like to see dems promote a positive social and economic message with understandable policy positions; I can’t help but think how aggressively republicans would be pushing for impeachment if the shoe were on the other foot

Deep breath in with an exhale on Nov 7th.

  • Who wins? All of us, including the replacement. Republicans talking about how difficult it is to find independence from Trump in the eyes of voters, it should be. You put him in the position to lead your party and all actions have consequences even the especially heinous. Democrats should focus more

Who wins? All of us, including the replacement. Republicans talking about how difficult it is to find independence from Trump in the eyes of voters, it should be. You put him in the position to lead your party and all actions have consequences even the especially heinous. Democrats should focus more on healthcare than corruption because our health rights are under fire and focusing on corruption will do more harm than good letting the former fall by the way side. We need now more than ever someone who is willing to stand up and fight for basic human rights.

  • In Korea, we (Korean people) gathered the will of the people in 2016 and impeached the previous regime. However, it should be noted that there was a clear criminal charge from the previous government. #Trump
