Most CBD drops would be around 20mg but that is miniscule compared to the dosing tried in studies for the results people are looking for. 300mg for mind calming effects and to relieve social anxiety. It's only a matter of time before large scale studies are revealed and consumers have a more well rounded knowledge of the potential benefits.

The author of this article has only investigated sources based in America, his conclusive statements and affirmations can attest that while he has tried $9 CBD infused coffee, he hasn't dug much deeper than that for this piece. For starters there is a book by Mary Minchin called "CBD Made Easy" that explains the functions of CBD first within the Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol molecule and subsequently within the human body. "Anyone who tells you anything definitive about what CBD — or THC, for that matter — does to your body is lying. Nobody knows." is frankly lazy journalism and an easy way of saying "I limited my research to the FDA website".

He then goes on to say "Both of these compounds stimulate the same receptor in the brain, called CB1, but have differing effects on the brain. Researchers aren’t totally sure why." but researchers know that this is because of the effect of each cannabinoid within the system, there is also neglect of mentioning the endocannabinoid system or how there are more plant species with CBD content like Nigella Sativa or hops.

The discussion should be broadened into taking other markets and research into account, but I do coincide with the notion that CBD is profiting on the cannabis craze sweeping the USA, but not all CBD is extracted equally.

  • This is the big CBD explainer that you’ve been waiting for: covering the business, science and legal sides of the issue. Interesting bit in here reports that different companies sell very different types of CBD, and some of it contains very high and totally illegal levels of THC even though it’s sold

  • My friend gave me CBD oil the other day for my stomach ache. It worked very fast. I felt slightly calmer as well. She’s always got the good stuff as she’s an accomplished chef and has been making marijuana products such as tincture for years. I usually don’t touch it, but this CBD oil was great!

  • The last paragraph sums up the article quite nicely. “But a lack of data does not hinder capitalism; it is, rather, a huge help. When nobody knows anything, you can say — or imply — anything. More importantly, you can sell everything.”

We make our lives stressful and then seek ways to reduce stress

We make our lives stressful and then seek ways to reduce stress. Till large scale randomized trials are conducted to prove that CBD does anything, I plan to stick to meditation...and making regular coffee at home.

"That’s what’s maddening and fascinating about CBD: It isn’t bullshit. Crystals are bullshit. Himalayan salt ionizers are bullshit... CBD, though wildly understudied, is not bullshit. In fact, the FDA just approved its very first cannabis-derived drug, a CBD-based epilepsy treatment called Epidiolex... though the diseases it targets start in childhood. Even some of the claims made by recreational CBD sellers aren’t bullshit, in the abstract. CBD really does show some anti-inflammatory properties. It really does have anxiolytic effects, in certain situations...

Nutmeg, for example, will act as a dangerous psychoactive drug at high levels, but it would be deranged to put “scientific research has shown that nutmeg can get you high as hell” on a pumpkin spice latte...

We don’t know how CBD affects the brain in any kind of depth. We don’t know which doses and delivery methods are best for different outcomes. We don’t know how CBD interacts with most other drugs or foods. We don’t know the differences between the effects of isolates and full-spectrum preparations. We don’t even know how many cannabinoids there are. California, for what it’s worth, seems aware and concerned about this whole thing."

  • My best friend from college works on a farm down in CA. She was going to go into PR and marketing and I health and we completely switched paths. She uses these compounds to treat inflammation that was so bad it caused her to lose her hair. No pharmaceutical drugs, just CBD and a rigid diet to keep her

She uses these compounds to treat inflammation that was so bad it caused her to lose her hair. No pharmaceutical drugs, just CBD and a rigid diet to keep her health under management. I believe that if she thinks it works, it works.

  • Legalize and Regulate

  • Yup, another case of chemical in the wild being exploited with close to no research to support any of the claims. It reminds me of tea, a drink that has been known to be medicine in ancient China but that even now we struggle to understand it's many compounds. CBD research is, as the article states

CBD research is, as the article states, in it's infancy, and it will take years to answer many of the unanswered questions.

  • Well, here in Boston, marijuana is legal so you can just buy the real thing.

  • You should assume that advertised CBD products are placebos at best, especially if you're buying outside legal [recreational/medicinal] jurisdictions.

Also, eating/drinking CBD requires a 10x equivalent dosage compared to vaping it.

  • Entertaining read.

"Recreational marijuana is not legal in New York state. What the coffee shop is selling is CBD-infused lattes; CBD, which stands for cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound found in the cannabis plant. Out of curiosity, I bought one. It cost $9 and tasted like a latte with that

It cost $9 and tasted like a latte with that hint of marijuana herbiness you get from a weed cookie. Google research informed me I would not get high but would be calmer, less anxious, maybe a little sleepy. I have no idea if I felt anything at all. Mostly, I felt like I just spent $9 on coffee."

  • Finally someone puts in writing what we all know already.

  • Some of my friends baked the meat with CBD oil))

It’s an opinion that can be shared or rightfully said, ‘too little information, doesn’t quantify with enough research in subject.’

Even though the Federal Government in Canada has legalized Marijuana, to truly give it the space required, decriminalize it as well! And the same for the United States, legalize and decriminalize marijuana, but, with Government officials who are in bed with Pharmaceutical companies, it’s hard to sway what is right and just.

Considering, in the biblical sense, part of incense gathered was Cana, same plant we call Marijuana today, even though it’s mentioned in the Bible, the Marijuana plant has been on Mother Earth for a very long time, but, again history can be vague, as to know the how’s and why’s of its pre-destined past, or it’s true existence.

In Europe and other countries, the scientific research is encouraging, even though in NA, it is a slow-understanding of its capabilities, but for the few individuals who learned from others, and further experimented on their own time have found and shared that creating Cannabinol oil, can be applied to the outside of our skin, to rid the effects of skin-cancer, in as little as a few days, as noted by Rick Simpson, a Canadian who lived on the East Coast. Rick doesn’t make this oil he developed, but, utilizing u tube, will show how it is made. Rick has helped 10,000 plus individuals beat cancer, either outside or inside our bodies, even after medical specialists have written us off, as the chemo hasn’t already done enough damage within. Both his book and excerpts from his video, show how certain individuals were told to go home and write your wills and slowly die at home...those who made their Rick Simpson Oil, are happy, and grateful that Rick has allowed them to have a new lease on life! Rick was prosecuted many times by the Courts of Canada, and every time was acquitted.

It’s been 14 years since my Mom died of stomach cancer that spread to other areas of her body, in hindsight I wish I had known about RSO (www.PhoenixTears.ca) and this website: www.cureyourowncancer.org

But, since my Mother’s death, I share with those who will listen and read. I believe Pinterest is great place to do some research as it has shown in many ways of the correlation between what CBD can do for our bodies inside and out. I personally have used CBD a combination of fused marijuana and coconut oil. It has helped with my diabetes, and when I have headaches. I believe from the plant, it helps symptoms with aches and pains, on ‘multiple layers/levels.’

  • Sounds like the jury is not in.
