I’ve long been worried about the day a fake news item is enhanced by cgi or this kind of thing. I fear it’s going to get far worse before it gets better

  • This proves why the masses who like to be intellectually spoon fed will believe the video.

I saw the entire press conference live and Jim Acosta did not assault her. It is the WH administration and Big Mac Orange colored president’s way of retaliation.

Jim Acosta was showing in real time how to speak truth to power as a journalist. That stone in the pond caused the ripple effect in the room and journalists were asking the hard hitting questions. Trump’s many ways of trying to lie, hide and deceive

Trump’s many ways of trying to lie, hide and deceive the public is now showing on his sleeve more and more. The question is, what are we going to do as a society?

Besides, anyone who believes Alex Jones as a credible news anchor and Info Wars is a credible news source, should start wearing tinfoil hats.

The whole episode really bothers me and I recently polled 5 journalists at different news organizations who happened to be out together and we all agreed that this plays into Trump’s hands in a magnificent way. First, the video very likely was doctored but that’s not the point, the fact we are all talking about it and it’s been covered so extensively is, again, playing in to the President’s hands.

I’ve worked with Jim while at CNN and he was a mediocre reporter —not the scoop getting type but he would do what was asked —now he’s playing a role that everyone expects —asking tough questions obviously is the right thing to do, but he’s now performing for the highly partisan crowds who love to see a Jimbo v Donald dustup. Jim gave Trump a golden gift and the President knew exactly what to do with it.

The fact reporters are discussing whether to walkout/boycott or complain through the official White House press Corp channels, is such a waste. They know they are in a Catch 22 situation where there’s no good outcome.

I've seen both versions. Anyone who says there was no contact is a liar. Anyone who says the version tweeted by Sarah Sanders was doctored is obtuse. You don't push away the arm of the person trying to retrieve the mike you no longer have a right to hold. You just don't. It is the epitome of self-centred aggrandizement.

For CNN personnel to lie to protect stumblebum Jim is sad but predictable. But the rest of you? Way to reinforce the "All news media lie" narrative. It will take years, if not decades, to get your credibility back.

  • How is this something to argue about? Acosta was being a jackass. He knew he was overstaying his welcome. He wanted to make a scene. He isn't "entitled" to a certain amount of questions. He isn't even entitled to an answer, but he persisted to the point that he knew someone was going to need to take the microphone from him, at which point he continued to be a jackass and wouldn't let go of the mic.

The woman was clearly just trying to do her job, and of course, was in the right at that point to

The woman was clearly just trying to do her job, and of course, was in the right at that point to take the microphone from Acosta. When that didn't work, she backed off, which is what civil human beings should do in tense situations. It doesn't matter what video you watch. Acosta did not touch, pull, or push the woman. His body reacted to the force of her pulling.

Acosta got what he wanted, which is just another excuse to cry like a baby on live television.

I'm for Trump 65% of the time, but this video is altered. It's so obvious it hurts.

If you believe this is the first doctored video or sound bite, I have some ocean front property in AZ for sale. The media has done this for years. Wasn't there an NBC story a few years ago that had to be walked back? I prefer to hear original interviews because I so often see stories that misrepresent the speaker's comments.

An unsubstantiated accusation. Jim Acosta is a Jerk, on a mission... Publicity for Him...

This talk about playing into Dumptruck’s hands by pressing him on the tough questions runs directly counter to the ongoing complaints that he is treated with kid gloves in interviews for fear of angering him.

What is it to be then? Are we going to continue to hold his feet to the fire and let him reveal his petty tantrum self, or are we going to just roll over and let him peddle his destructive arrogant ignorance without countering him because we don’t want to create a scene. If that is the case

Appeasement leads to disastrous consequences whether in personal relationships as well as in those among nations. I say do not let him getaway with anything. We traditionally admire tough journalism. Rise up! Press him on every issue. Call him on his crap or he and his troglodytes will continue to crap on us. Is that what we really want? This far too serious to continue to play footsie with this devil.

That “doctored” video is laughable at best! The one doctored, if any, is the one presented by the liberal media! There is no question that Ocosta physically pushed her arm away! And she was visibly embarrassed! Ocosta got just what he deserved! Not only for that, but for verbally disrespecting our president and Sarah Sanders! President Trump was very patient and proved himself a gentleman!

On another note, as I read through the comments here I am amazed, and concerned, about the number of people

On another note, as I read through the comments here I am amazed, and concerned, about the number of people who are against President Trump, who use this venue to trash a president who has clearly proven his worth as our leader! His love of this country and his support of capitalism is clearly what is turning this country around! As a veteran who served our great country for 25 years in the Navy, I was no little bit dismayed to watch the previous president weaken our military and our standing in the world! I applaud president Trump for his stand against socialism and the infiltration of anti-American aliens who want to tear this country down! Those liberals here who are trying to bash Trump, shame on you! He’s your president! You should be looking for ways to support him and help him, and all of us, Make America Great Again!
