  • As with so many lists like this, we have to live between two competing urges: to celebrate those recognized and to wish for the day when LGBTQ+ folks in tech are so numerous that a list cannot contain them.

    Just to let you know: I’m actually against the fact that the LGBT flag is used to recognise me in my job, even that I am good at it (both: being gay and professional on the showbiz), but reading your comment asking for numbers and data about how many fairies are out there, just made me think in the countless times I’ve heard about labor discrimination only for being gay.

    I mean: are you labeled because of your personal and private choice to love and make love to whoever you choose or

    I mean: are you labeled because of your personal and private choice to love and make love to whoever you choose or decide? Well, we gay people are labeled, targeted, weaponised, used, abused, taken for granted, mutilated, insulted and, in very rare cases, blamed on every little detail just because we dare to defend ourselves.

    So, this kind of condescending comment is targeted to those who keep thinking that gay people should be like the cast of RuPaul’s Drag Race S9, when the first art and philosophy queen was crown because she NAILED the lipsync with two classics of the beloved Whitney Houston: all glitter and wigs.

    No mister. We are being kept in the dark only because of the insecurities of few straight people who dare to even think that, since we have permission to express ourselves, we need to match your mediocrity.

  • This list is intrinsically offensive. Be the change you want to see in the world and don’t write one.
