Lets take notice of todays trends, young women are wearing sneakers instead of heels, this is a direct reaction to the turmoil of the political state. What does it mean when women choose to wear jumpsuits as a trend that were previously used as workwear for doing labor? How blind are those who think that this gala is simply about excess, it is in support of the museum, the archive, and a very significant component for centuries that has documented our culture and beliefs.
