  • This is huge news that Reuters' journalists, jailed in Myanmar for just doing their jobs, have now been freed.

  • I worked at Reuters in '17-'18 while these two journalists were in jail. My boss's boss traveled to Myanmar several times in an attempt to secure their release. One time he canceled a big review meeting on the project I'd been working on for months and I was a little bummed out. Then I found out it was to take a last minute trip to negotiate for their release. Now anyone else's meeting cancellations pale in comparison.

  • Importantly good news for Aung San Suu Kyi

  • This is great, great news. For devoted reporters, this is no real surprise but people outside the industry may appreciate the reporters' commitment to journalism after this experience: "I can’t wait to go to my newsroom," Wa Lone said.

  • A win for them and for all journalists .I hope they can resume their careers safely.

  • Great news!
