Starting on your own means you have to invest a lot of time, for sure, but then again, it is that time you invest that shapes your future company. The same is true for the team: Any existing business might have a great team in place, but you’ll be running into lots of things you’d do differently and they cannot be changed in a week, a month or even a year. Finally: The money. The article suggests that you almost get a business for free, at least without up front investment. While this may be true, don’t think for a second that a running business won’t cost you money, time and a lot of your patience. The clients don’t know you, the business partners don’t know you, your employees don’t know you. You’ll need to prove yourself, especially your leadership skills.
