  • It’s not just about how much you grow, but how you grow. And ultimately how you ensure all citizens have ample opportunity to participate and contribute to the economy. We often get too caught up in the headline numbers, which don’t tell us very much.

There is a local Chinese saying "even the moon in America is brighter" but that sentiment has changed significantly in the past decade. Today we are engaged in a conflict or a level of friction that has only just started down a slippery slope.   • New Zealand has started focusing on wellbeing instead of growth. The rest of the world should follow their lead. Growth is passé.
