  • It’s only a matter of time before Russo realizes this would make a better containment center for reactor waste than a selfie zone. I wouldn’t bet on them telling Instagram influencers about their plans either. Trespass at your own peril.

Has respect lost out to “being cool?” I watched the series and it was eye opening. The sacrifices made by many unsung heroes was remarkable- tends of thousands of lives lost so that the Chernobyl disaster not be more widespread. And now people take selfies on those grounds? Sign of times and - in my opinion- not respectful.

Clickbait and prostituting ethics and morals for likes shows insensitivity and narcissism regardless of the message. Chernobyl was a horrific tragedy, but nuclear power is still an important energy solution, but one that really needs far better management, governance and global best practices.

  • IG Influencers Lol.

It is sad to see people are not going there to learn and see first hand about nuclear radiation. Neither taking in that they are witnessing history nor mourn those who suffered and passed.

What else is striking is the fact these “Influencers” is, they’re too stupid to realize that they have a way to create positive change. If they actually took in what they see at Chernobyl, learned some stuff from tour guides and books, then they can actually get behind the cause to help

I guess that is much harder than being “Influencer”. #lame

While I agree with the sentiment the selfie cool pix still make Chernobyl an up front story and not a forgotten disaster. It's not respectful but it works.

  • Nucleus selfie vanity!
