  • I’ve never heard a better case for at least the study for reparations, I’m not sure I’m there yet, but it’s a good breakdown.

  • Black people do not enjoy praise for being articulate

It is disheartening to hear Mr. McConnell speak of reparations so carelessly and heartlessly, but it is empowering to hear Mr. Coates take us all to school regarding why it is important for reparations to happen for African Americans and for our nation as a whole. These events occurred and their effects are still strongly felt. Here in Canada it’s taken a long time to actually acknowledge the active efforts to erase indigenous identity. • It’s time to acknowledge the systematic efforts of the American system in derailing the attempts of black america to catch up with the rest. The culture of racism may need much more time to change, but the policy changes are long over due and urgent. Reparations will be a great boost to American way of life as a whole.
