People should not fear 5G. These health risks while possible will be and should be solved with innovation. It is good that we the public hear these concerns as it will drive innovation and safe technology into our community. Where there is risk, there is reward. That is the world we live in. We have been able to learn and overcome these risks throughout history. That is how innovation drives our society

  • These are not old risks, they are actual risks. There are reasons why the telecommunications companies lobbied for laws more than 30 years ago to protect them from law suits.

If you don’t believe.., look it up. Thousands of law suits across the USA. I had the pleasure of an AT&T lawyer outside of a hearing, inform me that it’s impossible to beat them.

In fact, communities aren’t even able to stop telecommunications companies from building towers.

You are naive if you think 5G is safe, or worse that technology is our saviour? Then you don’t pay attention to history.

  • As we reach the necessity for higher speed data, it occurs to me that more people are willing to take health risks just to have faster or comparative service. Cell phones have become part of everyday life for Americans; I wonder what other effects from such close relationships with our devices will surface.

  • And now this is a thing. One that will snowball and become a bigger thing until suddenly it won't be. Like coffee research, this is going to be difficult to settle.

  • Many of the people who are protesting :-

    Smoke

    Eat red meat

    Sunbath

Hypocrisy. I am more worried about it‘s potential to impact our ability to forecast the weather.

  • Radiation is all around us. Every day we take a bombardment of radiation, from the sun, from the very air that sustains us. That is one of the reasons it is so hard to prove or disprove a connection between a single source of radiation and a medical condition. We could not survive without radiation

It is why we see and stay warm.

  • There are bigger health risks from standing near a microwave oven when cooking something in it. The bigger issue will actually be the density and the topological design of the networks and more importantly how the networks are managed for weather pattern monitoring. Not to belabor the technology governance

There are bigger health risks from standing near a microwave oven when cooking something in it. The bigger issue will actually be the density and the topological design of the networks and more importantly how the networks are managed for weather pattern monitoring. Not to belabor the technology governance issues, it will be quite critical in 5G systems to manage emissions and spectrum usage properly in the face of congestion, as most weather technology is using sensors and microwaves readings. Obviously this will add in both operational expenses as well as capital expenditure, but can we afford not being able to monitor the weather given Sandy etc?

  • 3g, 4g & 4glte have all been found to contribute to a plethora of health effects including cancer, infertility, and miscarriages.
