  • Ok, but now imagine what that figure would be if the US had coordinated its trade actions against Huawei with allies. While the US remains an economic force in its own right, it’s less scary to trade enemies like China when it goes it alone.

    My nephew, an avid gamer, got one of these Huawei phones a few years ago on a MetroPcs network for pennies on the dollar. That's right, I said " few years ago AND avid gamer" with face constantly on the screen, unlimited service, and his phone has NEVER broken down. I have had Verizon and switched when they started playing games with my data, to Sprint, with their inconsistent service, and finally T-Mobile, and have gone thru about 4 iPhones and he STILL has his little cheap Huawei and the screen

    The results for the coming quarters will reflect the complete picture. Huawei had envisaged some headwind and somewhat tried to navigate the trade war effect assuming it'll be temporary. That saved them during the first half and maybe another quarter or so. But if the trade war keeps the same intensity, it'll definately start showing on their number. Well done though. 👍
