When DC deleted the image from its social media accounts, however, the rest of the world got pissed.

  • People complained. Companies chickened out and self-censored. It is a bit of an over-generalization to demonize China and claim how the entire world was upset. Just a dose of common ground in a world so easily agitated and polarized.

  • Is DC supposed to mean Directed by China?

There was a time when super heroes reminded us of what humanity is supposed to stand for, and now it appears they just remind us of what Deciding for Cash means... make sure you remind them at the box office next time...

  • This is getting ridiculous. On one hand, I can kind of understand, that businesses want the Chinese audience and so make changes to make more money. This is an evil of capitalism. If we abolish capitalism this won’t happen. But secondly there’s just the plain political pandering to China which I don’t

If we abolish capitalism this won’t happen. But secondly there’s just the plain political pandering to China which I don’t understand. Why should we pander to them? They are certainly not correct or just. They can change other countries content when they take over the world. Until then everyone should not listen to China and - destroy capitalism!

  • What would Batman do? He has to protect Gotham and that means protecting the parent company Mattel aka Barbies dream house and the Isle of Sodor. The real Santa's workshop is China the home of underpaid elves. Mattel needs toys. Of course Mattel backed down money is money.

    It won't hurt Mattel as

It won't hurt Mattel as DC probably is used to letters and I think this version of the young superhero was bound to fail. The Golden Child is a novel written by Claire Adam made into a movie starring Eddie Murphy. Holy rip off.

The picture of a molatov cocktail which is nasty indiscriminate weapons that inflicts pain on anyone caught in the fire. sends a disturbing message. I would hardly be a weapon of choice for a super hero who is supposed to be a role model.

  • Given how often Western companies bow to China it was only a matter of time before these companies experienced the wrath of its consumers in the West! Good lesson to learn.
