Taiwan’s leader is battling a deluge of misinformation. President Tsai Ing-wen is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights, and a wave of anti-gay messaging is flooding the country in the leadup to a general election—despite it’s reputation as Asia’s most gay-friendly country.

As far as I know, despite the unsuccessful populism policy efforts in some countries, populism/leftist values still play a pivotal role in transforming nations to adapt to the 21st century.

    To a certain extent, I see it a necessary development/evil.
