What does this even mean? Does the word “ toilets” in this context mean restrooms or is there some sort of actual toilet/commode I’ve never heard about that is somehow gender neutral and they will be “installed” in existing restrooms? While we figure out how to navigate these issues, precise language would be helpful. And does this mean that all restrooms at Google/London will be gender neutral or will there be men’s, women’s and gender neutral? I ask because of this sentence in the story “...anyone can use the restroom of their choice.” Quite honestly if Google is making a couple of bathrooms In their London building gender neutral, then this story is fine but doesn’t seem like a big whoop to me. I am genuinely confused.

  • I can understand that some women might not want to share a stall wall with a grunting bloke, it obliterates Eileen asking politely to “share a square”. I also understand transgender people not wanting to choose and or be perceived as going In the wrong bathroom. So I’m in favor but get that’s not so simple

  • Nice move.

  • This is inevitable if we want to be a real diversified company.

  • Omg. My wife and I have share a bathroom for 15 years. I leave the seat up and she makes a mess of the toothpaste. Is nothing private anymore?

  • I thought that was the norm in Europe anyway.

  • This should not be news.
