Is there no end to this man’s greed? There has been so much in the news recently about Amazon’s low wages and poor working conditions. Recently, there was the news about Amazon fighting back about a minuscule per person tax that would help fight homelessness in Seattle. I am seriously appalled at how greedy this company is. He is worth $141 billion dollars—up from $111 billion in just months. That means he has earned $30 billion in five months. He could give every single employee fair pay and benefits, pay the homeless tax, and still make billions just in investing the money he currently has! And on top of that, the price of Prime services just increased as well. Seems like a good time to boycott Amazon.

if it is "open season" on Mr. Bezos, and no restrictions apply, why not go whole-hog and ask why he is not only paying his own employees in DC, but why not pay a hefty head tax to DC government so he can cover the local government's responsibilities?

  • In solidarity with my Washington Post brothers and sisters, I will only buy my totally unnecessary goods on Etsy.

  • Oh no!!! You mean the ugly fist of LOGIC AND REASON has finally swung its way into the conversation!! Pooor little Bezzzzossss!! Wah wah wah...

  • This isn’t just isolated to Bezos really, it’s the sad state of affairs for wages of both staff writers and freelancers...

  • Got the feeling that you were almost in crisis at a particular time in business which could have affected your staff and along the line, something different was incorporated and your business starts booming. It will be so unfair if there is double profit in an organization and the pay check still remains

Got the feeling that you were almost in crisis at a particular time in business which could have affected your staff and along the line, something different was incorporated and your business starts booming. It will be so unfair if there is double profit in an organization and the pay check still remains the same. These people have worked tirelessly to make sure it is what it is today and underpaying them isn't good for business. Whatever Jeff Bezos is/was up to, it means it took a lot of nerve for staffers to actually write a letter expressing themselves. that's about 400 of them!

  • Every one should have their fair share of the pie ,

  • Fake pay for fake news ! I wish I could say I feel sorry but I don't. I can't stand the lies the media peddles to the public. The smug, arrogance.

The blatant misandry. Sincerely a man and a Deplorable. 🖕
