  • The fact that this is a serious policy debate in America in 2018 shows how far we’ve come. Not. Good.

Forget politics for a second. No matter where you stand on the political spectrum, no matter how you feel about immigration, you should not be okay with this. Even convicted murderers and rapists are treated better than this.

    “20 children in a cage”

“Families with children under 5 get to stay together in MOST (BUT NOT ALL) cases”

And before people try to point out that there’s no photographic evidence and therefore there could be hyperbole, forbidding photographs implies the reality of the scene

  • The Trump administration denies that this policy is designed to disincentive illegal borders crossings, but this denial is patently ridiculous. Treating the children of illegal immigrants poorly to deter illegal immigration is like torturing prisoners of war hoping you'll stop armed conflict.

This is completely heart breaking. I used to think our country has come so far but instead it seems like we are moving backwards. These poor children are being torn away from their parents and from their lives because what they were born in the wrong country and America doesn’t want them? Its unfortunate that this is how the United States is and how we are losing our humanity.

I hope they reunite with their families very soon. Human rights first.

How is it possible to justify a policy that allows the separation of 2 years old from their families? Inexcusable.
