  • Brings to mind the Bonnie Tyler song “holding out for a hero”... in 2018 movie goers are looking for a hero...

  • Black Panther was an awesome movie. Avengers was great too. Probably my favorite in the series. A Wrinkle in Time was just painful. I loved the visual effects and the artistic nature. But that didn't make up for the writing and storyline (or lack thereof). Haven't seen Deadpool yet but looking forward to it.

  • I remember thinking how nice it would be to be able to go to the show during the day. now that we have time, there's nothing to see.

  • Is it just me, or are they literally all adaptations or remakes? Don't get me wrong, some of these are very, very good. Black Panther? Great. Jurassic World? Fucking dream. But the fact that there not one single original film on here I think speaks to our cultural attitude towards movies in general

  • A Quiet Place was phenomenal, and truly a refreshing experience. That being said, let me step into my soapbox:

Remakes running amok proves Hollywood really might just be out of ideas. Creativity and originality have officially taken a back seat and cleared the way for underproduced trash that panders

It’s our fault mostly for not demanding better from Hollywood. No dynamic plot or expansive dialogue, just 3D glib in cozy recliner seats for us. Sure, i’ll upgrade my popcorn needlessly for 25 cents.

    End rant.

  • It seems like there are 10 new movies coming out each week......
