A need for EV speed
The Chinese tech giant Xiaomi may be best known for its smartphones, but it wants to be known for another thing: outracing a Tesla.
The company said it’ll start selling its electric SU7 four-door sedan in China for a currently undisclosed price on March 28. That news sent Xiaomi’s shares soaring as investors geared up for a vehicle that is expected to accelerate faster than Tesla and Porsche’s respective EV offerings.
