Nvidia earnings have Wall Street holding its breath
Nvidia is set to report its first quarter earnings on Wednesday — and its share price could reach an all-time high.
Nvidia’s previous record high close was $950.02, which it hit on March 25 after unveiling its highly anticipated new chip, Blackwell. Analysts largely expect strong earnings this time around, and that momentum could leave that previous all-time high in the dust.
“We continue to see strong demand for [Nvidia]’s data center products and feel the company is set up for another beat and raise quarter,” Harsh Kumar, an analyst at Piper Sandler, said in a note. Read what else other analysts are anticipating.

After months of organizing efforts, the United Auto Workers suffered the first loss of its multi-million dollar campaign to organize car plants around the U.S.
Of the more than 5,000 workers at Mercedes-Benz’s factory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, just 2,045 voted in favor of joining the UAW, the National Labor Relations Board said Friday after a week of voting.
The election followed months of conflict between workers, union organizers, and management officials in Alabama. Quartz’s Will Gavin looked at what made this particular contest so bitter.
