Greece is getting sick of all the cruise ships. Prime minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis plans to cap the number of cruise ships visiting its popular tourist destinations starting next year.

Donald Trump met with corporate CEOs to float a 20% tax cut. Leaders, including JPMorganā€™s Jamie Dimon and Appleā€™s Tim Cook, met with the presumptive Republican presidential nominee last week.

A Boeing plane was grounded after an incident where it twisted and spun at the same time in mid-air. The 737 Max 8, operated by Southwest Airlines, was substantially damaged during the incident but nobody was injured and the plane landed safely.

Bucking the usual pattern, gas prices are actually falling just in time to take a summer joy ride.

The Energy Information Administration noted last week that the average cost-per-gallon at the pump is about $3.43 in the U.S. Thatā€™s about 6.5% lower than where prices were in April, when they peaked for the year to date, and is much lower than when average gas prices hit $5 this time in 2022.

But while cheaper gas prices usually make people happy, that sentiment isnā€™t being shown in the latest consumer sentiment data. Quartzā€™s Melvin Backman takes a look at why.
