France, Germany, Ireland—British citizens are making sure they can escape the post-Brexit UK

Something similar happened in Germany, where 2,865 British citizens became German in 2016, up 361% from 600 in 2015.

Ireland also saw a record number of requests when Brexit negotiations started. On March 28, Ireland’s London embassy received over 700 passport applications.
