This supermarket in Switzerland will start selling burgers made of mealworms

Coop, a chain of markets in Switzerland, will start selling a pack of patties made of mealworms for 8.95 francs ($9.24).

The patties are made by Zürich-based Essento, a startup that specializes in insect-based food. Essento can now commercialize its products in supermarkets after a loosening of regulations.

Coop is also selling Essento’s mealworm burgers and plans to add new products until the end of this year.
