Budget airline Ryanair is reducing the number of bags that can be taken inside its aircrafts from two to one.

Passengers with two bags will either have to pay more to take it inside the airplane or will have to put it on the hold.

Ryanair is changing the rules because its flights are getting more crowded. Each aircraft can hold some 190 passengers. They went from being 87% full in 2013 to 97% full in 2017.

Ryanair is also changing the rules because passengers are bringing two large bags on board, instead of one small and one large.

To compensate, the budget airline is lowering the price passengers pay for their second bag, from $46 to $33. Ryanair expects to lose some $60 million yearly because of the change.
