A drunk reveler on New Year’s Eve took a 600 km taxi ride between Denmark and Norway—and then ran away without paying

An unidentified man took a 600 km (380 mi) taxi ride from Denmark to Norway, crossing Sweden in the process, but abandoned the taxi and fled into his apartment.

After traveling several hours on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, the Danish taxi driver called the police, who found the passenger sleeping inside his home. He was then forced to settle the 18,000 Norwegian kroner ($2,220) bill.

To add insult to injury for the taxi driver, the trip drained his car battery, and he had to be towed back to Denmark.
