Japan is cracking down on Chinese translators of manga, anime, and games

Japan loses $38 billion every year because of Chinese copyright infringement of mangas, animes, and games, according to an estimate by the Cultural Affairs Agency.

According to the police, the arrested translators shared their work on Weibo and other Chinese social media sites. They could face up to 10 years in prison and $90,000 in fines.
