Thanks to Russia, tourism in Turkey is beginning to improve

A sharp increase in terrorist attacks and the strained relations with Russia caused a decline in visitors following a travel ban.

Tourists from Europe and Russia decreased sharply, and those visitors made up 63% of tourists in 2015.

Now, since the ban ended, and Turkey and Russia made peace, there was an increase in visitors from Russia.

That is good news for Turkey since tourism produces revenue (equal to 3.7% of the GDP) and employment (2.3% of all jobs).
