Indian prime minister Narendra Modi will speak at Sydney’s Allphones Arena at 11.30 IST on Nov. 17.

It’s his second big international meeting with the Indian diaspora after his speech at New York’s Madison Square Garden in September.

Modi, the first Indian prime minister to visit Australia in 28 years, is expected to draw an audience of over 16,000 in Sydney, just a few thousand less than the crowds in New York.

The prime minister is on a four-city, three-day tour of Australia during which he also attended the G-20 summit in Brisbane. Next, he will travel to Fiji, which also has a significant Indian diaspora.
