The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of six analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of $1.82 per share.
The vaccine maker posted revenue of $187 million in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $165.1 million.
Novavax expects full-year revenue in the range of $900 million to $1.1 billion.
