The Santa Clara, California-based company said it had profit of $4.93 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were $5.16 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $4.55 per share.
The maker of graphics chips for gaming and artificial intelligence posted revenue of $22.1 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Twelve analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $20.31 billion.
For the year, the company reported profit of $29.76 billion, or $11.93 per share. Revenue was reported as $60.92 billion.
For the current quarter ending in April, Nvidia said it expects revenue in the range of $24 billion.
