I recall going to Sears Pasadena when I was a kid. My dad would buy me “Gold Bond” shoes (because they were guaranteed for a year - or so). Later in life I shopped at sears (mainly Craftsman tools), bought tires, had oil changed in Laguna Hills. I recall the big catalogues- though didn’t order anything. At any rate, Sears was a rite of passage in my time. Now, in Laguna Hills, there’s nothing but a big, vacant lot! Sad....
