One of these days separating everything we possibly can with markers like race and sex is gonna get really old for everyone. It’s just intellectually lazy.
This is a tough one in that it’s definitely true that the folks who are proponents of the hyper-sensitive political correctness/victim culture are making this more difficult by blurring the lines of where actual sexual misconduct occurs. Simultaneously, there is obviously going to be genuine sexual misconduct.
I think as long as people treat each other appropriately and with respect, then it’s a none issue. People who exaggerate things of this nature (on both ends) will eventually be called out for it. Suffice to say this is an overreaction.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how the U.S. handles the inevitable instability in the blue-collar job market as we move forward. Not adapting to the modern age of production isn’t an option, and considering our unique political climate it’s a safe bet that there will be heavy opposition to anything that might threaten low/middle class workers.
Unfortunately, a proper solution isn’t likely to appear until we are in the thick of those changes.
