I'm not convinced this makes the Android Auto safer to use. Ultimately as long as actions require taking your hands off the wheel, it's unsafe. Additionally making the dash display more information dense just makes it more likely for you to take your eyes off the road and for longer.
I would love to see Meetup + Eventbrite * Google. Meet up and eventbrite have pretty sub optimal user experiences. I think Google can create a better product. But given all of the deprecations that have happened this year (RIP Inbox and Trips), I'm a little hesitant to adopt a new Google product. Will I fall in love with it just to have it disappear?
