My 11-year-old spends so much time making tik toks it’s ridiculous. I don’t get the appeal, but Gen Z does. Marketers are next in droves.
As people are required to plan for their own retirements greater financial literacy is needed for their workplace wellness, yet so many of us are ill-equipped. Companies must play a more active role in ensuring employees know what they need for retirement.
Could we please take this seriously? They way we write as journalists has changed as a result of needed to be found on Google. Google is the game. And please don’t cite the pathetic marketshare of Bing. Google is a monopoly.
There is so much noise, complicated by the fact that platforms such as Facebook have made it difficult for many of us to reach who we want to without paying. I had not heard of either newsletter platform, but at first glance I welcome any platform that supports quality content creators. What a novel thought!

It’s going to get ugly but what an amazing transformation. Netflix started by first offering DVDs in the mail. At the time it was considered disruptive, leading to the demise of blockbuster and mom and pop video stores. Now Netflix is spending $14B on content. They are disrupting the main content stakeholders. Everyone has a hell of a lot on the line.
As a small business owner I have already voiced my frustration with Facebook’s power and apparent arbitrary nature in which sponsored content is accepted. These post Russia- gate rules Facebook has enforced has pretty much made it tough for small business to advertise on its network, so we spend our ad budgets elsewhere. Maybe there are unseen positive results. Since we are guessing I would say Facebook has an image problem!
I think everyone wants to leave future generations with a sustainable environment but some of these green solutions are not affordable in the immediate term. A $25 straw as a ‘ conversation starter?’ Sounds like a very first world notion to me.
Snap seems to be struggling with its identity. As a small business owner I find it unfortunate that one has to consider the optics of laying off people or keeping others on for the same reason. That’s no way to run a productive biz.
