  • This is amazing! I feel inspired already. Can't wait to check out these podcasts to inspire me to less consumption and more saving.

  • I worked for a competitor company for 3 years. My boss was demoralizing and overbearing at times. I know there was heavy stress on her. I worked more than 16 hours consecutively often. I worked for a competitor company for 3 years. My boss was demoralizing and overbearing at times. I know there was heavy stress on her. I worked more than 16 hours consecutively often. It wore me down. And when our company would go through major changes...we had a mandatory meeting at midnight one day! Didn't leave work until like 2am. And it was considered part of our salary...which was subpar compared to market in our area I came to find. I helped the company with the sweat of my brow and countless hours away from my child to rise to the top of the competition. The company changed our days from 8 to 5 Monday through Friday to 4 twelves a week, including every other weekend. Changed corporate structure and our charting system...all at the same time. I couldn't take another change that ignored my well being and the needs of my family anymore and left. I know the change was stressful on my boss because her abuse took to the next level. Yelling at me in front of my peers, demeaning me in public instead of in private as it had been for 3 years. Now I work for my current company. I'm so aggressive because of my prior training. It prepared me and made me efficient but I'm struggling to adjust to the more relaxed culture that really puts the employee first. I'm so thankful. Life taught me this lesson the hard way but at least I learned it young and in such a short time.

  • Keeping this in mind when I go shopping for groceries! Recently, I have started ordering shared entrees when I go out to eat with my family. Saves us money and there is less to no food left on the plate. I find that I waste more perishables like fruits and vegetables, honestly. If I buy them as I crave

Keeping this in mind when I go shopping for groceries! Recently, I have started ordering shared entrees when I go out to eat with my family. Saves us money and there is less to no food left on the plate. I find that I waste more perishables like fruits and vegetables, honestly. If I buy them as I crave them or only what will be used in a planned menu for family meal prep for the week, I bet I would waste significantly less salad packs and stone fruit.
