  • I moved from Linksys (bought by belkin) home network to eero (great product). And now with Amazon echo in my home— I admit I’m concerned. I do use a vpn on mobile/desktop (tunnelbear, great product) but I feel amazon will still somehow be able to track based on comparing my amazon app/site logs. Probably just over worried, because I was really surprising by Facebook (has a vpn product btw) and other companies that I feel didn’t protect my data. Amazon will try and control the path from you to its app/site as much as it can (cable to you is eero router and hotspots). The same way it controls the path from buy button to package delivered (amzn trucks, planes) to your door or doorbell (they bought Ring too).
