  • LOVE this. It's a fantastic way to showcase aviation to the younger generation, improve airport experiences, and finally have my mother greet me as I land at the gate, rather by baggage claim or the cars.

  • As a designer myself who's undergoing a couple freelance logo design projects right now, this is a nice treat.

One thing is, all of these companies are tech-y, startup, modern. I didn't see anything that stood out as more neutral and stunning.

All in all, a nice scroll this morning!

  • I'm a proud couponer (not the Extreme Couponer level, don't worry) and this article is truth. I use coupons or sales or deals as a way to narrow down my choices. Is it always effective? Nope. Does it work a food portion of the time? Pretty much.

This isn't just shopping, it's all over the place. We live in a business, dog-eat-dog, money driven world. I'm not being negative, it just is.

As a designer, we're to bring MORE into the world, and it's incredibly frustrating. Where's the balance? Even

As a designer, we're to bring MORE into the world, and it's incredibly frustrating. Where's the balance? Even apps to make decisions are vast, and so I end up with 10 apps to make one decision?

I'm tired thinking about my grocery run tonight.

  • My job at an entrepreneurship incubator, albeit one of the best jobs I've had, is centered around an open environment where entrepreneurs Steve on calls, chatting, making coffee, eating snacks.... As much as I enjoy the space, the amount of work I tackle is far less than what I'd get from home, a local bar or coffee shop.

As a designer, open spaces are prominent, and I fear that type of environment once I get my first full time job.

  • I usually write lengthy comments on Quartz articles/postings. But after 72 practice business plan pitches for a competition today, winning $7,000, I am grateful this article was the first that popped up when I signed on.

The entire day, since I won this investment, I thought, "wow, someone saw worth in me." I have always feared that financial ego complex, and this article helped so much. We focus on money rather than internal joy. That $7,000 is going towards giving my mom her sewing machine back

We focus on money rather than internal joy. That $7,000 is going towards giving my mom her sewing machine back and investing in my own, and going to events to grow more.

If I became a billionaire like this fantastic woman, I proudly would emulate her characteristics. I've had crying babies on planes, and my empathy has grown from it. If I had a private jet, I might hate kids.

    Whoops, longer than I thought.

All in all.... Money is not the equivalent of happiness.

  • This would be interesting to do --- if I was hearing. Aww well.

  • Clearly only a small handful of adjectives exist in this family, beyond Trump. I'd actually be more taken aback if he used a better descriptor than "loser."

Also, just FYI, from elementary school to my last year of undergrad, I think I've only had ~three teachers who I didn't learn to my fullest extent from, but they were by no means "losers."

Did you get any sort of education, Jr.? I'm sure most of your teachers weren't losers. You want to stir sh*t up, and it's sad.

  • As someone who is easily swayed by the smell of fresh french fries, a greasy pizza, or any fried anything, I can attest this to be true. I frequent a local bar that serves incredible, unique dishes, and their hand cut fries are to die for. I go there, have a beer, and work for 2 hours. The entire time, youd think I'd wave the server over for some of the fries?

    Nope.

The worst thing I do is being tempted by a local craft beer on tap. The food craving subsides.

Now I wanna test out the conversion

Now I wanna test out the conversion into craving a healthy option after being satisfied from the junk food smell ......

  • I appreciate the transparency -- and the acknowledgement that heterosexual couples tend to have subconscious notions of roles in the marriage. MacKenzie took on the role of being a parent (I say it gender neutrally, as we all should) while Jeff created Amazon. Mom's don't get paid. The work they put in would qualify as a pretty damn big yearly salary if it was a career path.

If you see my profile photo, I'm clearly not a parent. However, my parents raised me and my brother, two kids with a disability

If you see my profile photo, I'm clearly not a parent. However, my parents raised me and my brother, two kids with a disability, and both of them worked tirelessly to have a sustainable income. My mother always had jobs that tended to be flexible enough for her to pick me up from school 45 minutes away from home while my father was the traditional "breadwinner." If my parents divorced (which, knock on wood, wouldn't happen because they're the strongest team I know), I'd say they both deserve half.

Marriage is a team effort. Just because Jeff built Amazon and gained success from the "empire," MacKenzie put in an equal, if not more, work and deserves the same return for her efforts.

She should not be labeled as a "gold digger," -- if the gender roles were reversed, people wouldn't even DARE say such things to a man.

Also, side note, I'm peeved that the author couldn't put punctuation within the quotation marks properly. The end.
