It is well-known that chronic exposure to radon is carcinogenic. The fact radon warms the caves may be what is most beneficial. Warmth can be beneficial. So is it the radon in short term exposure that is okay, or is it the heat, or a placebo effect? Has it in fact been studied long term? We know long term exposure to electric blankets is dangerous; but at what point do the scales tip? Personally I would indulge in above ground mineral water and skip the radon, paid for or not.
I am ignorant of the technology but what if this cavity could be filled in with...no clue. But research is hopefully being done to buy us time to find a solution. As long as harmful industries rule over scientific research in our Corporatocracy, we are essentially screwed.
